The immediate-past Governor of Rivers State, ROTIMI AMAECHI, has rebuked his successor, Governor NYESOM WIKE, for alleging that he was sponsoring a new cult group in the state.

AMAECHI who is the Minister of Transportation said Governor WIKE failed to produce any shred of evidence in his attempt to depict the newly formed True Rivers Initiative as a cult group.

In a statement circulated to the media, the ROTIMI AMAECHI media Office described Governor WIKE’s outburst as another act to draw media attention to himself in order to be seen as fighting his predecessor.

AMAECHI media Office said Governor WIKE should know by now that no one takes him seriously anymore, especially whenever he makes cooked-up and malicious allegations against the Minister of Transportation.

The statement noted that WIKE’s cult fabrication against AMAECHI fits into his style of distraction by telling a lie and more lies, creating confusion and deception.

The Amaechi Media Office recalled Governor WIKE’s recent claim over the forty-three million dollars found at the Osborne luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos which was recovered by the EFCC.

The statement recalled how the Rivers State Governor threatened the Federal Government under the leadership of President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, including issuing a seven-day ultimatum, but without taking any step ever since April.

The ROTIMI AMAECHI media Office insisted that Governor WIKE must go to court to prove his allegation or be prepared to face the wrath of the law at the appropriate time, when his current constitutional immunity as a governor would no longer protect him, as well as the ultimate wrath of God.
