New Federal High Court Complex built by Rivers state govt unveiled.

The new Federal High Court Complex built by the Rivers State Government has been unveiled for use by the Port Harcourt Division.

The new court complex comes with six courtrooms, each with a sitting capacity of seventy persons, in addition to other modern facilities.


The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice IBRAHIM AUTA, performed the unveiling of the new complex at a ceremony attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.


Justice IBRAHIM AUTA pledged commitment to put the new court complex to good use, just as he commended the Rivers State Government for the gesture of support to the Federal High Court in the dispensation of justice.


Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Governor NYESOM WIKE performed the unveiling of the new court complex at a, including the 


Governor WIKE particularly noted that the new Federal High Court Complex in Port Harcourt is the finest to be built by any state government in Nigeria.


The Governor also used the occasion to revisit the recent clampdown on some judges on suspicion of corruption by security and anti-graft agencies.


He emphasized the need for government at all levels to respect the rule of law and for all men of good conscience to speak up against infringement of the laws of the land by the people in authority.

In his remarks, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, EMMA AGUMA, said the donation of the complex to the Federal High Court is a mark of commitment of the administration to the dispensation of justice and the rule of law.
