Professor OZO-MEKURI NDIMELE has been formerly inaugurated as Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Rivers State.

Professor NDIMELE moved from the University of Port Harcourt where he held sway as a professor of comparative grammar and communication.


He was appointed by Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE on 23rd November and assumed office on 26th of the same month.


At the formal inauguration ceremony at the main campus of the institution today, Professor NDIMELE promised to serve with all his heart, just as he sought the cooperation of all stakeholders to bring light to the university.


The Vice Chancellor also promised to expand the courses offered by the university, including the introduction of MBA programmes.


Our correspondent reports that the inauguration of the new Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education was witnessed by several dignitaries, including the Paramount Ruler of Etche, His Royal Majesty E.N. OPURUM.
