DANIEL ALABRAH has resigned his appointment as the Head of Media and Communications of the Presidential Amnesty Office. ALABRAH cited irreconcilable difference as well as inexplicable antagonism and attack on his dignity and self-esteem as reasons for his decision to leave the Amnesty Programme for former Niger Delta militants.

The leadership of the Nigerian Senate has acknowledged receipt of a notice served by a private legal practitioner, threatening to drag the National Assembly court over the jumbo pay package for legislators. Port Harcourt-based lawyer, CHUKS LESTER UGURU, had sent a letter to the Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI, threatening to go to court if nothing was done to review the pay package for federal legislators downwards.

The Labor Party in Rivers state has taken credit for the change in the leadership of the panel of the Rivers state election tribunal sitting in Abuja.  Speaking in an interview with correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA, the state Chairman of the Labor Party, FELIX FAVOUR claims that Justice ABDULKADIR PINDIGA was change because of the ruling he delivered against the petition of his party.
