Nigeria`s Consul General in South Africa, UCHE AJULU-OKEKE, made the announcement in Johannesburg.

The Police in Abia State have foiled an abduction of an unnamed man who was forced into the booth of a car around Ubakala near Umuahia, the state capital.
Security operatives trailed the vehicle to a Police Stop and Search point at Obowo  in Imo State after a tip-off by a witness.

A group known as Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria has appealed to Boko Haram insurgents to allow peace to reign in the country.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed that it has cleared land mines from the Damaturu-Biu Road which runs between Yobe and Borno States.
In a message on its Twitter page by its Acting Director of  Public Relations, Colonel SANI K. USMAN, the Army said the mission was undertaken by a team of Special Forces.
