LOLA OKOYE CAR

”Well, I’m really I’m super excited. I can’t really even… I’m really shy, so don’t take my shyness for not being surprised. I’m surprised and really, really excited. I can’t believe it,” Lola Omotayo-Okoye said.

When asked about what could have motivated her husband to suprise her, Lola said, ”all my hard work na, all these years. I deserve it (laughs happily). Peter, I love you every, very much. I’m so, so grateful for this… I’m shocked. Thank you so much, I really appreciate this”.

ANGELA OKORIE

“As a mother, you can do everything for your child but that doesn’t make you a father. I feel that the male-bashing on social media is too rampant these days.

The fact that you contribute 99% of things in the home does not make you the man of the house. God knows what He was doing when he created two genders. It takes two people to make a baby.

The fact that you are separated from your husband does not mean you should come online and call yourself a man. I’m not trying to throw shades at anyone; I’m just trying to be blunt.

SMALL DOCTOR/2MILLION

Adeyanju had written on Twitter, “So, some youths went to Aso Rock yesterday to see Buhari and collected ‘thanks for coming’, N2m each. Very soon, they will start telling us why it is good for Buhari to continue…”

“I am not aware that the President gave anyone N2m. I was only invited to Aso Rock during the Ramadan period, which I honoured.

Have you asked Sound Sultan or Kunle Afolayan and they said Buhari gave us N2m each. Well, I don’t know if they gave anyone but I didn’t collect such money.”“I have always worked hard and my hard work is paying off. I felt humbled and privileged meeting Mr. President. Looking at where I used to be, there has been a major turnaround in my life. Do you remember I was once a bus conductor?”

MIMI ORJIEKWE ACTRESS NO MONEY

“I still have a lot to do as an actor and woman, though I am enjoying my life. If I had known better, I would have probably pursued a career in the oil and gas sector.

I love acting but there is no money in it as much as in the oil sector. I have a lot of expenses; I have a baby, do charity, like to look good and have a family to support.

For you to be able to do all these, you need to make a lot of money. Unfortunately, acting cannot give you much money.”

KUNLE AFOLAYON

“By the way, I live my life, people tend to think that I am the richest Yoruba actor, but that is a lie. Nigerians assume a lot. I live in a rented apartment because I cannot afford to build one.

When they see me buy a new car, they don’t know if I paid for the car in installments; instead, they call me a big boy. What type of big boy lives on N50,000 or N100,000 income per film as an actor?

“I challenge any Nigerian actor that is living larger than life to state how they made their money because I am sure it is not from the movies they make. I am talking about both the English and Yoruba actors.

If they like, they can say they make N5m per film, they cannot afford to build or buy a house at Lekki or Victoria Island or Ikoyi. It is impossible. They should call out mathematicians to figure it out. It is a lie.

It is because they meet some influential people that give them businesses or they have side businesses. Since we do not all meet such people or make the kind of money they make through these people, we just have to be content with what we have.

In my life, I have never seen an ‘educated illiterate’ country like Nigeria. Nigerians are very gullible when it comes to judging other people’s lifestyle since they do not know anything, they assume. Then social media came and it made things worse.”

NIPSEY HUSSLE BET

Nipsey Hussle unleashed a vicious slap on a man's face in the middle of an argument over where he could park his whip ... and it's all captured on video.

Check it out, the L.A. rapper's in the street outside the venue for Sunday night's 'BET Awards' when he gets into with another guy. We're told the issue was whether or not Nipsey could move some cones and drive through a restricted area.

Tempers flare, and after the guy smacks a traffic cone out of the hand of Nipsey's bodyguard ... Hussle unloads a hard right slap.

A law officer immediately grabs Nipsey to keep the fight from escalating ... and then he gets back in his car.

NIGERIAN RAPPER

A 15-year-old Nigerian boy identified as Jordan Gbolade Jaiyeola, has been stabbed to death in a fight after a birthday party at a community centre in east London.

Three teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder and have been taken to separate police stations for questioning. The teenage drill rapper known locally as Jordan Douherty, was found with knife wounds and died at the scene.

“it was chaos out here last night” and described hearing friends of the victim screaming and sobbing.

She told the Press Association: “Around 9.20pm I heard a lot of noise going on. For some reason it didn’t sound right. It was mostly black boys out there.

“Then I heard a lad crying down the phone ‘he’s dead, he’s dead’. “He was lying down in the road, there was a lot of blood. The police were working on him, they tried their absolute damnedest with that boy last night.”
