Two of the heavyweights as regards afro beats in the Nigerian music industry, Burna boy and Wizkid recently released two new singles titled “Gbona ” and “Fever ” respectively.

While Wizkid’s Master groove is produced by phantombeats , Burna boy’s Gbona is produced by kel P. The two afro beats joint with massive fela influence have been gaining massive attention from music lovers across the globe especially as regards the dynamism of the genre of music.

This is further aggravated by opinions on the contemporary Nigerian artistes that can fill the shoes of the late afrobeat legend, Fela anikulapo kuti.

While Wizkid calls himself Felaback via his Snapchat ID, Burna boy who is said to be related to Fela has carried the afro beat genre to international level with songs like run my race , ye , jealousy and Gbona with wizkid doing similar with songs like jaiye jaiye, ghetto youth and stinking sh**..

The release of the two new songs once again brings into contention the flag bearer of Afro beats in Nigeria, Wizkid or Burna boy?
