Nigerian Afrobeat musician, FEMI KUTI, has set a world record of playing the longest single note on a saxophone for the longest time, after initially failing on his mission a week ago.

The son of legendary FELA ANIKULAPO-KUTI is reported to have played the note for more than fifty-one minutes.

On his first attempt last week, FEMI thought he had broken the record after blowing the note for forty-six minutes thirty-eight seconds but someone pointed out that American VANN BURCHFIELD has gone over forty-seven minutes.

However; there are doubts about whether FEMI’s record would be validated, as the circular breathing method he used to sustain the note had been discontinued by the Guinness World Records.
