ADELE picked up five awards, including Best Album for her multi-million selling record 25, which she turned down, preferring that it was given to BEYONCE instead.

The pop star told the audience that she could not possibly accept the best album award, adding that she was very humbled and very grateful, but BEYONCE was her best artist.

Meanwhile; reports from the United States say several artists chose to skip the Grammys, including  KANYE WEST as well as FRANK OCEAN who even declined to submit his critically-acclaimed album, Blonde, for consideration.

OCEAN was quoted as saying the Grammys did not seem to be representing very well for his kind of people.
